Gigi, Kim, and the bargirls describe their hopeless dreams of leaving the brothel and their difficult lives in Vietnam. They dream of marrying an American soldier and starting new lives and families. What they don’t know is that the American soldiers are searching for an escape from their lives through the prostitutes. They have been  yearning for the typical “American dream.”
