GUSD may be extending spring break and closing schools over COVID-19

The World Health Organization has declared the coronavirus or COVID-19 as a pandemic. 

The United States has restricted travel from most of Europe. 

President Donald Trump has declared a national emergency.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom and public health officials created a new policy that gatherings with more than 250 people be postponed or cancelled.

GUSD has postponed events such as Open House along with sporting events; no audience was allowed at The Scholastic Bowl event, which was streamen live. 

GUSD is also considering extending spring break and closing schools for a certain amount of time. Online lessons are a possibility. Be sure to check GUSD for updates.
