THE FLASH REVIEW

By Amber Arnaout

The Flash is currently one of my favorite superhero shows on television as of right now. It follows the life of Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, and his journey as the scarlet speedster known as The Flash.

Before his life as a hero, Barry was an ordinary forensic specialist working at the Central City Police Department. One day he was hit by lightning and exposed to high amounts of radiation due to the failed attempt of the particle accelerator. As a result he was left in a coma for nine months and wakes up with the ability to run extraordinarily fast, dubbing himself the fastest man alive.

Berry teams up with a groups of scientists at STAR Labs as they work together to fight crime and keep their city safe from the metahumans with evil intentions. Along their journey they come across many notable villains in the DC universe such as, Leonard Snart, Reverse-Flash, Savitar, and Gorilla Grodd.

Overall, The Flash has a lighthearted feel to it, most of the time, but still delivers the darker and dramatic scenes when needed. The dialogue and writing style provides comedic relief and also keeps fans on the edge of their seats whenever Team Flash faces a major foe. The Flash can either be a hit or a miss depending on the person, but it seems to be receiving a lot of positive feedback as it is currently on its fourth season.
